File Submission Details

Files submitted for print should be either jpg or tif format. The maximum file size is 512mb. This is the actual file size per image printed. The embedded color profile should be sRGB or AdobeRGB(1998). Prints should be at a minimum of 240 dpi.

Defects in Material

The material your print is printed on potentially has some defects that are visible. Some defects are seen as pits and others are chips in the edges.. The pits generally cannot be seen either due to location or size. If the size is large enough to be seen the material will be disposed of. If you find that your print has been printed on this type of material please let us know and we will immediately replace the print. If the print has become chipped during the printing process or shipping then the print will be replaced.

Color Corrections

Metal Mouth Prints will not perform any color corrections on your file prior to printing. Please make certain that your print is ready to be printed.

Black and White Prints

Many people complain about prints received from other vendors having green hair, low contrast, color cast or inconsistencies in quality. You will find that b/w prints from Metal Mouth Prints will be neutral, height contrast, consistent and most of all no green hair! b/w files should have the AdobeRGB(1998) profile embedded into them.

Shipping

Prints are generally shipped via United States Postal Service First Class or Priority Mail 2 day service. International shipping will be handled on a case by case basis. Local pickup is available for customers living in the 66??? Or 64??? Zip codes.

Can You Print a Size Not Listed in the Shopping Cart

Yes, custom sizes up to 40x60 inches can be made. Custom shapes can be printed with the assistance of a waterjet. Setup fees might be applicable to custom shapes.

Do You Have Any Discount Programs?

If my print is not digital, can it be printed on metal?

Your print needs to be a digital file, if you need a slide, negative or print scanned to a high resolution digital file please contact us for a referral.

If you’re an artist that wants prints of your paintings on metal please contact us for a referral to a company that can professionally scan your painting to a digital file.

I am interested in a collage of prints, can you help with an arrangement?

Yes, there is a $50.00 fee for creating the collage.

Can you drop ship prints directly to my customer?

I am not certain if my print will look good in metal?

Email a low res version of the image to sales@metalmouthprints.com and we will give you our insight. But you can use the following tips to get a better idea of what makes a great metal print:

High resolution 300 dpi or better at the size print you desire.
High saturation or contrast.

Good sharpness.

How do I take care of my print?

With cotton gloves or powder free rubber gloves on your hands you can clean your print with a Micro Fiber cloth by itself or with window cleaner, LCD panel cleaner, Simple Green etc. If there is a stubborn sticky stain you can use a product like Goof Off.

For hanging make certain you use a sturdy hanging system although, aluminum metal prints do not weigh very much.

Even though the surface of the print is mostly scratch resistant the edges and corners can either ding or chip. So, don’t drop your print or bang it around.

I am an artist, can I sign my metal prints?

Yes! Even though you can use a sharpie we suggest that you use a paint pen to sign both the front and back.

If desired a laser engraving of your signature, logo, title or print number can be placed on the face of the print. Please contact us directly for pricing.

Production Time

Our production time takes from 1-2 weeks. We are a small company and work as efficiently as we can. Shipping is generally 3 days via the US Post Office or FedEx Ground service.
